Detailed Directions
-
Turn off 72 onto Highway 585 then drive for 0.75 mi before turning left onto Lockheed Martin Way. Once you get to the stop sign, turn right onto Sanderson Lane. At the fork, keep left. The road will immediately fork again, keep right. Stay straight on this road and it should take you to the open gate and into the airport.
-
Travel straight through the open gate. Continuing straight, drive until you are about to cross the runway running perpendicular to you. STOP and look when crossing the runway. While the airport is NOTAM’d closed, there still is a chance of planes landing on this runway. It must be treated as an ACTIVE runway.
-
Parking is available in the area behind the RSO/LCO tents. Please park your vehicles on either side of the concrete and keep the center lane clear for vehicles to leave. Do not park on any runway other than the one the RSO/LCO tents are set up on.
-
We only have permission for vehicles to drive from the Airport Gate to the launch site. Vehicles are not allowed to drive anywhere else on the airport and must not drive in the fields. This includes to retrieve rockets.
No ATVs, Side by Sides, or any other vehicles are allowed.
Drones must receive permission from both the Airport and Launch Director before flying.
